Rewt has been playing WoW since Vanilla, although he freely admits he leveled his toon to 40 completely the wrong way. With a misguided EQ background, Rewt wouldn’t move out of an area until his Skinning was capped. Talk about a grind!
Rewt currently co-hosts Heartcast, along with Freckleface. Rewt’s background outside WoW includes Online Marketing, Web Application Development, and Linux/Network Administration. He currently works for RiptideSoftware.com, who are gracious enough to lend him a corner of a suite to set The Excellence In Podcast Studios up in.
In 2010, Rewt rolled Phatwallet, a Dwarf Warrior. Phatwallet was met at the spawn point by a mage, and ported to Ironforge. He has never been in combat. He was given 100 gold, and let loose on the Auction House to make his fortune without any assistance from any Alts or other toons sending him things to sell on the AH. It all had to be done from reselling vendor items, or flipping auctions. The experiment was deemed a success when, in December of 2010, Phatwallet broke the 100K gold mark. Since that time, Rewt has refused to declare how much gold Phatwallet has.
In 2011, Rewt rolled a Worgen Hunter, and leveled it to 85 based solely (almost!) upon the Zygor Guide – aside from when to get training and mounts, there wasn’t much bad about the experience!
2011 also brought a slew of changes, including a Server/Race/Faction change – From a Gnome Warlock on Whisperwind (a pve server), to a Goblin Warlock on Deathwing (a PVP server). Rewt now rolls with The Horderlies, and is working on progression raiding.
